So now what? I can’t believe I did what I did this weekend. I really thought after a few days disappointment would settle in but it hasn’t. I executed everything as best and as hard as I could so I feel no regret over my performance and not making my time goal. I know my next opportunity to race may not be for a while but when the chance comes again, I’m ready to try again for this PR with my newfound knowledge, solid base and with a goal to drop 10-15 more pounds before my next race. In the mean time, I’m considering a 5k time trial as something to work towards but haven’t settled on anything yet.
